A Way reflects the American experience tackling racial injustice, domestic violence, religious viewpoints, police brutality, discrimination, and social identity, discovering if there is a way to co-exist. George Woods and The West 79th Street Funk Jazz Band navigate you through a musical journey capitalizing on various musical genres as jazz in the forefront. Jazz is America’s classical music, so it’s most fitting that the discovery of the American journey is narrated through that genre. Like opera, some songs will have a sorrowful ending for one to reflect on and point out our realities, while others are uplifting toward the will of hope and change.
